Kathie Lee Gifford Celebrates Her Fourth Grandchild as Family Expands with Love and Happiness
Kathie Lee Gifford is embracing a heartwarming milestone — she has just become a grandmother for the fourth time!
The former TODAY show favorite is overjoyed after her daughter, Cassidy Gifford, welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Rosie Mae Wierda earlier this month. Kathie Lee expressed her excitement and gratitude in a statement to TODAY.com.
“I am so thrilled by the arrival of my first granddaughter, Rosie Mae. She is absolutely stunning, just like her mom. We are thanking God for the safe birth and good health of both Cassidy and the baby,” she shared.
Cassidy announced the birth on Instagram on June 6, revealing that Rosie Mae was born at 9:59 a.m. on June 3, 2025.
“Rosie Mae Wierda! You are an answered prayer, Rosie girl. We love you endlessly,” Cassidy wrote, along with several tender photos, including one of Rosie Mae holding her thumb — a sweet and intimate moment capturing the beauty of new life.
Rosie Mae is Cassidy and her husband Ben Wierda’s second child, joining big brother Finn Thomas Wierda, who was born in June 2023.

Kathie Lee’s family is growing quickly. In addition to Rosie and Finn, she is also grandmother to two young boys from her son Cody Gifford and his wife Erika: their sons Frankie, 3, and Ford, 1. Cody and Erika named their eldest son after Kathie Lee’s late husband, NFL legend Frank Gifford, who passed away in 2015.
The happiness continues to multiply as Cody and Erika prepare to welcome their third child. Erika shared the exciting news in May on Instagram.
“This little blessing has been prayed for and dreamed of. We already love this baby so much. At 20 weeks, we are eagerly awaiting the newest addition to our family,” she wrote.
Kathie Lee herself couldn’t contain her joy at the announcement.
“I am so happy this wonderful secret is finally out!” she exclaimed.

“They all say ‘Boobie’ instead,” she laughed with TODAY. “Which is fine by me!”
